Giving Back

It is our passion to give back to the community that takes such good care of us!!!

January 2011-Present
The homeless population in Reno is a large, staggering number. That is why every Friday at 5:00 p.m., as part of LoKa Cares, we will be feeding the homeless.  If you have a spare minute, stop by and volunteer your time or feel free to donate easy-to-serve food, paper plates, jackets, or anything you think will help.
Don't have time to stop by? Drop off goodies at the store and we will do the rest.
A discount will be applied to your purchase when you donate to this cause as well.

Check out this link for more information:

When: Every Friday from 5p.m.-6p.m.  ( Early set up is at 4:45p.m.)

Where: 335 Record Street, Reno, NV 89512

This is how we roll! It was an epic feed Friday. LoKa Cares Team serves no matter what..... rain, shine, more rain, snow, 109 heat, hail, more rain ....we serve no matter what. Thanks to all who are committed to the fact that food is a right.

Halloween in July
Join us in supplying Halloween Costumes for Foster Kids of Northern Nevada. We will be collecting new or gently used costumes for kids and teens ages 1-18 years old. Bring in a costume for a discount on material purchased in our store!  All new or used costumes will be donated to the amazing foster families and organization in our local community. There is a big demand for these and they always go quick so we like to start planning now. You can email angela@lokatilegroupinc.com for more info and how you can help or just respond to this and we'll answer your questions. Thanks!!!!

Backpack Drive
We are collecting new and used backpacks for Balling for Backpacks and Marcus Woods. Please drop off these items at LoKa Tile Group in Sparks or call Angela at 690-2581 for pickup info. The demand for these is very high and we appreciate your support!

Also look for more info to come on the Balling 4 Backpacks event July 27th at the Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center.

Japan Relief

The 8.9 earthquake and devastating tsunami that followed has rocked Japan's world. "The earthquake triggered fires and caused severe damage to buildings, leaving five million households without electricity and 1 million without water" (www.redcross.org).

LoKa Cares wants to do everything we can to help donate. Follow this link to the Red Cross website to make a donation: here. You can also help out by visiting this website where you can donate $25 or more in exchange for an awesome poster... A poster that will go nicely with your new tile floor.
